Well, took the easy road that was recommended and put in the headlight harness. Super easy, fast and working like a champ.'85 C20 w/QUAD headlights. On highbeam, the old and new headlight switch has/will set internal breaker?, after 10 or so mins. All headlights will go out. Switch to low beams and the low beams will work. After a bit(switch cools) wash, rinse, repeat. 10.1.0 (yellow) at headlight switch to dimmer gets hot in high beam setting. Checked ALL grounds at core support and frame. Bus bar inside as well and ALL are grounded. Is the halogens just to much for the circuit? I believe a relayed circuit added to just high beams will work but want to correct properly if possible. Anyone else experienced this?Again, thanks for the add!
Did a overhaul on heater core box, repair, reseal, and installed a stronger blower.
Replaced all A/C except lines and compressor. Hang meat and part hair now! Next is 6.0. '03 LQ4 "low miles". Kick'n around the tranny options. I do pull a boat, 21 CC and occasionally a 26ft camper. 4L80E seems logical.(Looking). In it is a TH400 rebuilt 8k miles back but I'm doing DBW swap so no TV kickdown. 4:10's in diff. right now but will stab a Eaton 10.5" Limited Slip 3:73 I pkd/u couple yrs.back for $25. Ofcourse complete diff. reseal and brgs. Learning alot and like most of us, on a budget to some degree. I wanna do the swap and learn but 35+ doing this and at 62 seems like a younger man's profit. I don't have and never really had to much money for looks as I did for function so that's where my money goes. It's a work truck but with a great headliner I slapped in. Tks ali_c20, Ricko1966, Gjonick and the rest of ya for chime'n in! I'll definitely ck back in.
