Welp, that went sideways. Hope you get it fixed. You say non productive, when you got solid advice. I'm out.

I will track it down
If you have 12v at each socket on the right pin and the same good ground on the right pin at each socket then your headlights work.
There’s nothing else between the socket and the bulb.
But you’ve checked that it appears. Good luck
