I bought this five years ago and had big plans. The previous owner was over his head with this and gave up. Frame and body is in great shape. The truck has never been in mud. No rust. One ton axels. 3 inch body lift, 6 inch Skyjacker springs. MT wheels. I have many pics but couldn’t post but five. 350 and 700 tranny. It’s not drivable as is. He drove it here with a bad water pump and blowed a heed gasket. The front and rear gears don’t match. The rear spring perches were never changed. Interior is good. Cracked dash of course. I paid too much and willing to take a steep loss. I’ve got a C10 and a K10 that I love. This rig is taking up space in my garage. I think it’s worth 5k. I’d like some opinions.

Thanks for the reply and I know I could do both. Im 63 years old and I really just want to focus on my other squares. I've been up and down about selling this one but after five years of it taking up half my shop, I've had to tell myself it"s time to let it go.

I'd like to say 5k is an absolute steal, even considering the issues. But realistically, that may just be because I saw the pictures and fell in love with it, lol. Putting values on a non-runner is always hard. It really depends on the particular buyer and how willing they are to put in some work for a truck they like, to potentially save some money in the long run.

@ Big Ray would look super cool sporting that around town! Or, he could use it for parts. One can’t buy much for $5k these days. The bigger question is if you stuck the money in it that it needs plus the purchase price, will you get your money back if you decide to sell it. Basket cases are tough to value. Looks pretty sweet if you like the big wheels look!

I hate to do this but that’s a 3/4 ton 10 bolt front axle, not a 1 ton. I can see 4 u-bolts where a 1 ton D60 only has 3 and it has a horse shoe type steering arm on the axle which is only on 1/2 and 3/4 ton axles.

I didn’t see where he said it’s 1 ton axles. But regardless, yeah it’s either a deal or not for someone.
Super cool but a limited buyers market.
If you look past the lift and 3 grand in tires and wheels it’s a $3-4k truck bad engine, mismatched axles, other fcked up chit, needs interior work. And a 700 trans in front of 40s! Lol.
Only because he’s far enough east that rust belt buyers are an advantage.
But if you want a monster truck that has a nice paint job but is a project, it looks a bunch nicer.

Thanks for the info. The rear is a 14 bolt full floater.

Thanks Grit Dog, and it is a project with downfalls, that's why I wanted opinions on the price. I already purchased 3" Tough Country EZ Ride springs and 35" wheel and tire combo. I bought it because of the body and chassis condition and the amount of beer the po and I had consumed that day.. The stuff I bought can be used on something else if the truck sells.

So really, you haven't moved any closer to What Is It Really Worth than when you started.

My suggestion is to look on AutoTrader Classics and see what "similar" trucks are listed for. They rarely get their asking price by the way. Look on Bring A Trailer and see what similar trucks actually sold for, that listing takes a moment to dig up but I find it very useful.

Then advertise it for more than you really think it is worth. Some idiot person... will eventually make an offer.

It would be pointless for me to start pointing out all the reasons I would not want it, but there are lots of folks that love the look of a super high lift 4wd. Somebody will be willing to pay for it. It does have pretty, shiny, blue paint after all.

Like others have said, it's hard to to put a hard set price on it, especially since different areas have vastly different price scales. I'm in north Ga though, so I'm not too far away. A nice body and frame are big pluses, right there you've got 5k IMO. The huge lift is a draw for some but I'd wager it's a bigger turn off for a larger crowd because it's not very usable. If it were running and driving, even with the mismatched gears and other issues, I'd probably put it around $10-15k. But with the hurt motor, axle needing a regear, that obviously hurts it. Not to mention the state of our country/economy has everybody just holding what they've got at the moment.

If it were mine, I'd probably price it around $8k and hope for anything north of 5k.

Needing a scissor lift to get in and out of under the hood, shy of removing the engine, which would be easier than climbing that high, I wouldn't do the head gasket swap either. Cool truck though. If I got it I'd immediately lower it to stock height or 2 inch lift, and smaller tires.
