Not so lucky on the oil filter side ..
Oil pan will need some mods in order for the rod to bolt up ...

At the moment at least .. Will pretty it up when it's taken off the motor ...

Been whooping on it ..
Kind of sad to go mutilating a brand new high dollar oil pan, ya know ...
Going to weld in a patch, but first it's going back on the motor for a trial fit .. I think there's room, but want to make sure before I make up the patch and weld ..

I'm still no power here in sw va. Got like 20" and flooding was crazy.

My culvert bridge is not crossable by vehicles now. Working on that tomorrow.

Roads and bridges here in and esp in nw n carolina got destroyed.

Man, I can feel your pain ...

Helena has done 'biblical' damage ..
Flooding neighborhoods, stranding residents, destroying homes and toppling trees in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee.
Dozens have been killed. Death toll standing at 90, and climbing ..

It’s like a mini-apocalypse ..

Came off a truck that was running a THM 350 trans ..
With all the wacky stuff I now have going on in the driveline department couldn't find a rod that was a plug & play ..
The GMC K-15 never had that rod, hoping the union I have in mind will work okay ..
Soon will see how it'll go ??

On to a different area of the build ...

Since I had to take the header bolts out at the head for room to install the motor mount bolt, time was at hand to mount the A/C compressor brackets ...
Got a feeling this job will be somewhat involved cause of the Milodon cam gear drive moving the pullies out a 1/4 of an inch ..

Looks like I will need to cut the piece of round stock off and move it forward a 1/4".
Or ..
Cut a 1/4" off the back of the round stock, make up a spacer to weld on the front side ...
Yeah, I like that idea much better .. !

( No freaking clue why my shi .. errr .. stuff can't be a easy bolt on and go play ? )

Looks easy, right .. ?

Needed the power steering pump adjustment bracket to flush mount to the header required welding in a spacer ..

Sliced it in the middle, spacer will be welded in ..

Welded one side of the spacer, will bolt it on the motor and throw some tack welds on it ..

Get a few tacks on it, will take it off and weld it up and dress down the welds ..
Compressor bracket needed some fitting ..
A little grinding will take care of the ill fit ..

Far as I'm going today ..
Got a wee bit done, now it's time to go water the mule .. Ruth ...
( He's a Jack not a Jenny )

Back at it ...

Just about got the power steering pump bracelet welded, doing a trim on the compressor bracket bolt spacer as per the instructions noted ..

That seemed to work out well ..

But, the compressor bracket is needing some more grind time to get it off the header tube and the power steering bracket ...

Well Poo ...

Tried to get the belt on ... Did get the belt that the instructions said to use ...
After a bit of looking at why it's not going to work with what pullies that the truck came with called "Old Air Products" ..

Found out that I needed double groove pullies for the water pump and the power steering pump ..

Got them coming ..

The crank pully already had the groove for the compressor belt fortunately ...

Got some work to do on getting the 200 amp alternator mounted up ... They changed the adjusting bolt from a 5/16" to a 3/8" .. Will open up the slot in the stock mounting bracket ..
