My goodness parts for this old truck are a wee bit hard to get ...

The invoice for the pulleys was e-mailed to me ..
Seen on it that the power steering pulley was a bolt-on, what I have is a press-on ..
Called the company and told them that what they're sending me is not what I'm needing .. They said that they don't have the press-on ..
Took off looking elsewhere and found one on eBay ...

Next fly in the soup was the outlet for the radiator ...
Explained to the salesman that I'm moving the lower bung from the left side of the lower tank to the right side and needed it to have a 1-5/8" O.D. ...
Got a e-mail from them, what they are sending to me is this ...

It's aluminum ..

4 row, installed a two speed puller fan ...
The radiator has a trans cooler built in ..

My plan is to run a remote trans cooler (Mounted over the top of the transfer case) along with the cooler in the radiator .. Piggyback, so to speak ..

Not wanting to add heat to the radiator cause 400 CI SBC motors are known to be hard to keep cool ...

Also the A/C condenser is a remote with it's own fan ..
That will be mounted under the bed ..

Again with keeping the radiator isolated from additional heat ..

I do have a concern bout the compressor having room without getting into the inner fender ?
Was going to shoot the engine bay sheet metal with bed liner ..
Might hold off with that till a mockup has been done ..

Could be getting shook over nothing ..
Captured this photo off of a YouTube video ..
Sure looks like there's plenty of room ..

But "Milton" took the power off line at the shop ..
Hoping power will be back on tomorrow, the grid took a heavy hit, might take a few days to restore power ?

Waiting for the 1-5/8" bung to show up, welding will go down when all the ducks are in a row ..

Water pump double belt pulley came in ...

Still waiting for the power steering pump pulley ..
A/C compressor belt tracking don't look all that bad ..

Linemen were all over the place down here ..
Couldn't drive a mile without seeing a truck or two ..

My shop lost power for a day .. The boys are kicking butt restoring power, many are still without ...

Alternator belt was misaligned, did some work to get it looking like it might stay on at 7,000 rpms .. ?

Hoping the other two belts are in line, power steering double groove pulley will be here Tuesday according to tracking ..
Not sure just yet but do think there's going to be a problem with the A/C compressor belt rubbing on the water pump ..
The aluminum water pump is aftermarket ..

I'm probably getting shook over nothing .. Not having the steering pump pulley on is not helping me to eyeball !!

Cured the leak, power steering pump pulley came in ..

Mounted the pump and tried my best to get the belts to track right ...
After a few hours, I cried uncle ... To much misalignment to run ..

The conclusion I came to was the aftermarket water pump pivot bolt hole was drilled crooked ...

To cure this problem was to used a bracket that don't mount up to the water pump ..

Going to give this a shot ... It mounts to the two lower holes in the front of the block ..
Made by "Alan Grove Components" which also made the A/C compressor mount ..

Going to place the order today ... Their company is in Kansas, be a few days till I have it ...

( Got to love aftermarket parts ) .... Right ?

Now "IF" I was a rich Fellow this setup would be on the motor .. !

Bit too fancy for a 4X4 truck ... IMO

Hopping it won't be a can of worms' to contend with ..
