About a week and a half ago, picked up a '78 C10 Suburban with a 78k mile old rebuilt 454. Hughes TH400 and torque converter, 3/4 leaf springs, air shocks all the way around, hitch with trailer brake controller, like new tires, Eaton limited slip with 3.42 gears, new cooling system, and mostly working AC. I have since scraped off the stickers.

I'd been without a square body for several years. My '84 C30 3+3 Camper Special dually was totaled back in 2020. Before that I also had a '74 C10 and a '78 K25. I'm super happy to be back in a square body.

Looks a lot like the inside of the '79 Chevy Burb we had for many years. Ours had factory buckets and console in front, those were comfortable seats (but Mom made covers for them because vinyl is not so nice in the summer!). You will want to get the cover back on the tailgate to cover the window mechanism. Dad and I rebuilt the gate window stuff on the '79 and the '84, many years ago. Definitely a two person job!

Thanks! I had the cover back on after "servicing" the motor. Worked for a week. Took it back off to pull the motor and use a ratchet strap to move it up and down until I can put a new motor in this weekend. I've got a big wing span, so taking care of it isn't too bad.
