Passenger door alignment question

Hi all, I am trying to align the passenger door on my truck. The gap by the b pillar is really tight on the bottom and big on top, but the bottom of the door looks really nice on my rocker. My question is, would I end up adjusting the top body side hinge in to get the bottom to open up? Or do I pull the bottom body side hinge out? The pictures show what I’m talking about. Thanks for the help!

Your alignment issues are primarily caused by that replaced cab corner being too far forward, closing the gap.

The right way would be to fix the cab corner (and maybe rocker if that was replaced/repaired), to get the aperture the correct shape.

The way it is now, I don’t think the door will fit correctly regardless of how much alignment is attempted. You have a trapezoid opening and a rectangular door, if you get one area right, it will throw two out of alignment.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say both the cab corner and rocker panel were very poorly replaced at some point in the past. The door should not overlap anything, including the rocker (which it looks like it does). The doors do stick out some but the gap at the rocker should be like 3/16-3/8" (there was alot of variance lol).

Regarding the door itself, it appears to be pretty close regarding the body line and such. I wouldn’t touch it until the cab corner/rocker is dealt with.

Okay everywhere I've worked I've said we need one of those. New hires get 45 seconds to put all the blocks through all the correct holes. Okay we saw you stick the round peg through the star hole, go home. We don't need you.

Or he could just put the door in any which way and make a custom door.
