Fusable link on firewall distribution block...
Where do you find the fusable link that goes in the block?
The original is part of the wire coming out of the loom from the alt/batt. It's like crimped on the wire.
Where do ya find em?
Or do ya just use a blade style fuse block?...which would not look kosher.
(yes, the cat Photo bombed the block)

You can buy fusible link at any box auto parts store in the electrical isle. It should be 2 sizes smaller than the wire it is protecting.

Well, pooh..
I had not realized there was a link there and because the original looked so...well...old and crusty, I made a copper bridge. 1/8" thick 1/2" wide. That would fuse an average house. I should probably take that back out and get a new one.

Maybe I'm confused on what you are talking about here. There should be a piece of metal that acts as a connecting bus between the two studs. It does not act as a fuse or fusible link, just connects the two studs. There should be a connection to the right side stud via a fusible link from the alternator. There should be another connection to the firewall passthrough via another fusible link to the same stud. The other stud(on the left side as you look at the firewall) will have a large 12ga wire running to the AC blower.

Iirc that “bridge” is actually the terminal with two holes for the alt charge wire. At least this is how I remember it on a CUCV.

Yes,
That is how mine looks.
The schematic states "fusable link" in the location of that block, so I assumed that was it.
I may be assuming erronously.
If that piece of metal with the 2 holes is not the fusable link...where is it?
