Decided to do my headliner, as the vehicle isn't my daily driver this was a long time project with a vacation in between. Well I went to put the rear panel in and I realized that something was missing. The hose with the clip about 4 inches down was attached to something and I have no idea, there doesn't appear to be any other hoses attachments around or on the rear unit itself.

Looks like heater hose to me. Bet the heater core started leaking and it was unhooked?

I've not had the passenger side panel fully off, only dropped the AC panel to replace the TXV and clean the rear fan. but I know the drain for the rear system goes through that area. could it be that?

Guys thanks for the replies and the further I Look ad dd1990 states it's the drain hose, unfortunately I have no idea what it connects to or if I accidentally tossed the fitting. Are the holes in the corners the drain vents?

Do you still have the shroud that covers the rear ac, the tube just slips onto the passenger side corner of the shroud, you should see a round protrusion on the corner of the shroud

It connects to the plastic cover that I guess you are missing. That whole large mostly trapezoidal "decorative" cover that bolts with 3 screws at the back and couple of metals screws up front It doubles as a drip pan. Condensate drips on a plastic cover and them drains to the right side and down this tube.
