Good afternoon everyone.
I have a 74 c10 that I have been retrofitting for my old man to reintroduce to him in a few weeks and use as a promo vehicle for my business. We have resolved 80% of the electrical and other gremlins after getting it outta the shop. Now we have questions about proper electrical safety.
We have glowshift pods, an electric fuel pump, aluminum radiator fans and other cool gear that we want to ensure is going to work safely. Currently, all those are either hard wired to original wiring or placed in non fused locations in the block. Are the elements safe to run in a non fused location or should I add this relay fuse box thingy I got off amazon and fuse EVERYTHING. All help is appreciated.

Fuel pump should be fused and on a relay, wired so it only runs with the engine running. Cooling fans should be fused, have a relay,a temperature switch, and the aluminum radiator should have a sacrificial anode. Anything you add should fused,at minimum. High draw things should be fused and have a relay. The purpose of the fuse is the fuse blows before the wire burns,no fuse increases your chances of electrical fires, even on something as simple as a stereo. Check, any new stereo you buy will come with a fuse.

Are you still running the glass fuse block? Just curious.

Yes I am. Currently all other accessories are tied into the non fused locations on that block.
