Hi all,

For your viewing: a 1986 C10 Silverado Long Bed Regular Cab, with 305 small block and automatic transmission. In good condition, with apparently 118k miles on the original motor. Originally a farm truck from Arkansas, restored (paint, dash cover, & minor mechanical) and garaged in the winter for 2 years in the upper peninsula of Michigan, I purchased this truck and drove it past the factory in Flint Michigan from which it rolled on the line nearly 40 years ago, on my way to Buffalo.

Besides troubleshooting the AC, which is not blowing cool air, there are no major issues. The only thing I plan on doing with this mostly original truck is minor cosmetic improvements (seat cover), protection/ maintenance (rust proofing, PPF, & potentially bed-liner), and simply enjoying it.

I don't think the 2 wheel drive long bed would do well in the snow ( I used to drift around a Colorado around and was stuck often ), and the salted roads would probably not treat the body well, so I will probably garage it for the winter. For now, it will be a spring-fall cruiser/ daily, a fun project for the weekends, and the occasional headache that makes me reconsider my life decisions.

-Eric

Nice truck!
Identical color to my dads 2nd square. God I thought that was an ugly color combo when I was 16. Now I like it and bought a grampa brown truck myself….lol.
