@Keith Seymore could probably help. Does your truck still have the SPID? If Keith says the axle numbers don't give you that info and you don't have the spid, you can always jack the back of the truck up (chocking the front wheels of course), put the truck in neutral and count how many times the driveshaft turns in relation to one tire rotation. I.E. 3 3/4 turns is a 3.73, 2 1/2 turns would be a 2.41, etc.

Hi,

The rear end gears on my truck were changed before I bought it. Can anyone decode this and tell me which stock gears my truck came with?

Thank you

Keith,

Thank you! I just dropped a new ATK 350 in it that has 350 HP and 400ft/lbs torque. The truck isn't as "quick" as I thought it would be so I did some investigating and found a sticker saying the original gears were changed. I have to figure out what's in there now and then what ratio to go with.

Pull the cover and look. It needs an oil change anyway.
