15" wheel offset/backspace

Hi, just ordered a 4" suspension lift front and rear springs for my 86 short box k 15 and next is the wheel/tire pkg. I think I'm going with 33's as I only have 3:73 ratio. In a 15x8 wheel what offset will clear and look good I don't want the wheels to stick out too much past the front fenders, but obvious want a nice dish on the wheel.Options for 15x10 would also be appreciated!

You want 4 inches of backspacing, or real close to it. Any more than that and you get clearance issues with the tie rod.

havine a deep dish and not having them stick out doesn't really go together. Stock 8's or whatever the rallys are work nice, my old man's 86 was on 4 inch frame 33's and rallys.

My 83 is on 12's and 35's did have a 4 inch lift. now it's got 6. They stuck out alot in front back was fine.

This is my 88' Suburban 3.5? gears with a Rough Country 2" lift and 33x12.50x15 on 15x10 wheels with 3.5" or 4" backspace. The measurement falls in between, like 3.75". I can't be positive though because these wheels are like 35 years old off of my dads old J10 Jeep.

They barely rub the front and rear of the fender wells because the offset is so far but I massaged the wheel wells a little and it's good.

Having a 2" lift with 33s I'd say I would have to go 35s with a 4" lift.

Are you primarily driving on flat ground?

I drive it to work once a week, completely flat ground, 55-60mph and it's perfectly fine for that. But this is my weekend rig. It's usually 4 wheeling in the rocky desert of Arizona.

If you're asking because of the gearing, yes it is too tall geared but I never tow and I use 4 low when needed and that's low enough for me. Or do you mean does it rub on flat ground, no it doesn't, it only rubbed when in off camber situations off road. Now that I've massaged the fenderwells it takes a good bit of flexing to get it to rub a little, not enough to tear anything up though. And I still have my sway bar connected.

I do see a set of 4.56s and lockers in my future though.
