Anyone running wipers bigger than 16" oem?

I would have liked to get the ANCO adapter that @Turbo4whl suggested yesterday, but that website wants $92.57 USD shipping to British Columbia. Not doing it. ANCO customer support confirmed they do not sell these adapters separately. ANCO's documentation for their 16'' 7mm Bayonet Beam Wiper...

Anyone running wipers bigger than 16" oem?

Thanks very much everyone, I'll check out the link @Turbo4whl provided. And I take it 18" aren't a problem based on comments earlier in the thread (I did see the comments regarding a weak wiper motor).

Anyone running wipers bigger than 16" oem?

I've lost too many wiper blades from my 1980 GMC K1500. After reading this thread, I'd like to keep my original bayonet style arm. I think I'd like to: - Use the J-hook adapter that @bucket suggested - Use 18" Bosch Clear Advantage wiper blade Can you please help with my questions? - Does...

No driver's side rear turn signal or brake light, because no power at bulkhead

Ok, got a happy ending. I tested for continuity from the firewall side of the connector (at the steering column) to the bulkhead in the engine side of the firewall, and there was continuity (thank god). Then, with that connector disconnected, I switched to IGN on and was going to jump #19 Dk...

No driver's side rear turn signal or brake light, because no power at bulkhead

Yes thanks, @77Dmax , I have a tilt column. I see the switch on Rock Auto and it clearly illustrates the switch together with the harness, right down to and including the connector I was asking about. The wires are colored correctly as the GM original. I'm going to disconnect the connector at...

No driver's side rear turn signal or brake light, because no power at bulkhead

No, I think the connector in "bulkhead_cab_side.jpg" is the inside portion of the bulkhead. I just included that to help my narrative. I'm not asking about that at all. I'm asking about the connector in "termination_of_18_yellow.JPG".

No driver's side rear turn signal or brake light, because no power at bulkhead

Thank you all. @Jgonick, "turn-signal-switch-plugged-in.jpg" is very helpful. Are you showing the connector that I'm asking about or the signal switch? Or are you saying they are the same thing? I think @Ricko1966 refers to the connector in your picture as a long skinny electrical junction, so I...

No driver's side rear turn signal or brake light, because no power at bulkhead

Hi, thanks in advance for help. Sorry to post this but I couldn't find my particular problem. Everything works for both front and rear signal lights, all markers, signal indicator light on dash, hazards, and rear brake lights and backup lights, except for the rear signal light and brake light...

    1978 Scottsdale Drag Link Question

Well, I've completed the wheel alignment and driven my truck @ 60 MPH and more. Steering seems real good. So I conclude that the drag link angle is just fine, which in my mind lays to rest the urban myth that the drag link must be horizontal.

    Wrong brake calipers?

I just went through the same thing. I got it resolved. Yes, there is a Right and Left fitment, and yes, you can tell because the bleeder must point up. Also note the calipers fit either 2WD or 4WD, not both. My truck is 1980 K15, so I got calipers for 1980 4WD. This is the same style as @AZ...

Changing front rubber brake lines. Where’s the inner clip?

Detail of the clip on the outside of the frame. The replacement hose should have that clip installed, and you don't do anything with it.

Changing front rubber brake lines. Where’s the inner clip?

I found this post because I had the same question: where are the clips on both sides of the frame? I needed to know how to disassemble the old brake line (from the caliper to the frame rail) without damage. I don't think that has been answered in this thread. There is a clip on the brake hose...
