Was the 5.3 an AFM, DOD engine? If so, the lifters might be stuck in the collapsed condition. -

Grumba Just did some digging (see below, part no 29), all the 4WD use the same bolt. Its 3/4-10 x 3 1/4". The OEM part number is 328130...
