With the builder base you have I'm glad you looked and are throwing some bearings in it. Be a great runner till you decide to go another path. Doing a timing set and oil pump I assume?

Timing chain yes, oil pump no. The pump themselves almost never go bad, just the O-ring for the pickup tube flattens over time. Got a new one of those to go in.

Haven't tried either of those. I'm hit or miss on Podcasts, I generally just listen to music but have gotten kinda burnt out on music lately. I'll listen to certain episodes of C10 Talk if I know who's on there or I like cold case crime podcasts. In The Red Clay is one of my favorites, it's about the Dixie Mafia based out of Winder, Ga (I live right next door in Auburn). I've listened to it all the way through 2 or 3 times now lol. The head of the Dixie Mafia's son is the one telling the story, I've met him a couple times and actually just passed him on the road towing the '70 Torino 428 Cobra Jet his dad bought for him new

Piddled a little after work last night. Got the 1 broken stud out of the pass side head, chambers and gasket surfaces cleaned up carefully with a combo or wire brushes in a drill and a Roloc disc on a die grinder.

Driver’s head, both studs broke off down in the holes so I’m gonna have to weld them. Still cleaned up its gasket surfaces too

Oh yeah, I guess I should've said that. Exhaust manifold bolts. Not going ARP, but going with an aftermarket stud/nut kit off Amazon that I used on the blue truck. It's a nice kit and has served me well so far.

Unfortunately, I was unsuccessful in getting my 2 broken studs extracted. Even welding the nuts on and hitting them with a wrench while still red hot, nada. So drilling them out and probably helicoiling them is going to be the only way.

I think I'd gamble a few bucks on a left handed drill bit, hoping it might grab hold and spin it out.

A few years ago, I bought some CRC Freeze-Off to loosen bolts.
Best investment I've made in a while. Not because it works, but because I haven't needed it yet.

I figured if you heated the nut, or the female threaded area, then froze the nut or stud, it might break loose.

Try welding a washer to the stud first, then weld a nut on.

Then use a an air hammer to peen the nut you just welded on, then try to remove it
