Powermatic 1150? Do you need just a shade or the fixture or both?

OWWM.org would be your best shot. I can make a BOYD (bring out your dead, their classifieds) post if you'd like, if you don't want to make an account.

Yeah, it's a Powermatic but I don't recall the model # off hand. Ideally I'll replace the shade and the fixture too, as it is broken off at the swivel.

Edit:
The lamp fixture was added by someone in the past. It's not original to the drill press.

To be honest I have no real idea why I know that, maybe from estate sales or something. It was pretty fresh on my mind as one of those cabinets popped up for sale a while back and they didn't know what it was, that brought it up to the front of my memory lol.

The raised panel could have been a timer and clock arrangement, I guess depending on your roasters trim level. Looks like yours is a custom deluxe
I googled it later in the day to show my dad and then last night on marketplace I found 2 more of them lol

Didn't make it to Hobo Freight till Saturday, grabbed one of the Quinn low profile socket sets and a few odds and ends I've been needing to restock on. Only spent $35

Yep, it's an 1150. @legopnuematic I'm impressed that you knew the make and model just from that one picture I posted, lol.

They are a fairly distinct head casting, and probably the most common of the Powermatic drill presses.

Well regarded machines, things got a little shaky in the Houdaille era*, still good machines generally.

Here is some information on serial numbers if you want to know what year it was built:

*Houdaille Industries was buying up a bunch of industrial tool manufacturers in the 1970s and 80s, and basically through inept management and other issues ran them into the ground. They owned Powermatic, Di-acro, Burgmaster among others. There was even a book written about the loss of Burgmaster:

Awesome! Looks like it's a '72 unit. I really like the thing. Even with a cracked motor pivot bracket, it still works really well. I love how much up/down travel the drill chuck has too. The only downside is the table adjustment, there's no rack and pinion type adjustment like newer stuff has. When I finally get my "shop" arranged and the drill press in a permanent location, I'd like to rig up a simple counterbalance system for the table.

Pulled the trigger on a couple of things I've wanted for a while.

Got the beam addition for my Daytona jack. Better support for lifting the unibody cars along with some rubber pinch-weld protector pucks.

Finally bought a nice set of drill bits, Norseman fractional and numbered sets from their Magnum series. I've been using a cheap set I picked up at Costo maybe 20-25 years ago, made in Taiwan or China for Alltrade, and sold under the name Worksmith. Typical import stuff, they work but kept my Drill Doctor busy. The Norseman fractional set is mechanic length, which is a little shorter than jobbers, and have 3-sided shanks for better grip in portable drills. I wanted the shorter size because they're less likely to snap if side loaded by drilling off angle. The numbered set is standard jobber length, and my plan is to only use them in the drill press. Seems like every time I put a small bit in a handheld drill I break 'em, so I'm really hoping to avoid that.

I got home this morning and a buddy reached out to me and asked if I wanted a tubing bender. I said how much? 50 bucks. So I drove 48 miles to get it, and my buddy bought me lunch. It says Grizzy industry on it. Looked it up, and it shows it was 475 new.

That's a pipe bender,or a tubing crusher. You will want to watch lots of you tube videos and read lots of people's posts for work arounds before you try using that to bend tubing.

I don't know if I'll ever use it. I want to build some pre runner bumpers for my 4x4 Blazer. My try my hand at building my own exhaust. I know this type of bender isn't for building roll cages or anything like that. But I figured for the money it might come in handly.

Yeah, for the money it will for sure pay for itself very easily.

Bought the gas powered Fortress 30 gallon air compressor for a shop I have with no electrical service. This girl is a beast. I picked it up about a month ago on sale and paid $1711.00 out the door. I'm sure most users are contractors; roofers, carpenters etc who load it in the back of a work truck, but adding another 30 gallon tank I have a 60 gallon compressor that will put out 20+cfm and do about anything I need.
