Since the early 80's I've been growing old with it, think it's fairing better than me ..
Over the years it seen a few upgrades. Came from GM with a 350 ci motor and a TH 350 trans. Has a built 400 ci and a TH 400 trans (Soon to be replaced with a custom built 4L85E) in it now ..
The rear end seen a upgrade too, went from the Oem GM 1/2 ton 12 bolt to a 14 bolt 3/4 ton Corporation. Installed a Detroit Locker while I was in the neighborhood ..

Doing a makeover on it, some bodywork, new paint job, killer sound system, bucket seats, power windows, keyless door locks, Air Con stuff like that to bring it into today's world ..

Dis a chore to marry a NP 203 to a 4L85E ..

Making a homemade transfer case shifter mount in order to relocate the shifter ...

Very soon will have overdrive ..

The push, pull Overdrive cable is only along for the ride, not hooked to anything ..
"Blast from the Past" might be saying ..

It was a special build back when I built the critter ...
Works as good as the day it went on line ..
Going to miss it, kind of like saying "BYE" to a old friend ...

A world of hi-po goodies lurks inside the K case 400 ..

It has the 32 spline 4x4 output shaft (Been rollerized), comes with the 400 to NP203 Oem adapter, RV 6 lug converter, B&M deep pan and much more Heavy-Duty components ..

The box that's hooked to the gear selector shaft is a "Ron Francis" LED dash mounted indicator .. It goes too ..

The 4L85 required one more light ..

Right on! Looking forward to this build.

You already know I’m full of questions, are those pics of your dash or a parts donor?

That's the dash ... I kind of did my own thing with it ..
My truck is what's called a Frankenstein ...

I used a dash from a R-190 over the road truck in my bottom of the line R-100 ...

The reason was it having a hole for the tach and air-brakes, plus no cutout for the three on the tree shift rod ...

Did keep the tach hole sporting a tach and still using the air pressure hole for air (Sorta) ...

Stuck a vacuum gouge from a early 60's Pontiac ..

Redoing the dash at the moment ...
Added a killer radio and AC vents ...

Got a wild hair to paint it woodgrain the old school way like how it was done in the 30's and 40's ... Bought a kit ..

R100, this is going to be very interesting.
Like the GMC frame, a lot has changed ...

I did a wide body to it by adding 3" to the rear fenders and fitting a set of R-150 front fenders ...
That job took a conservable bit of time to do ..
