Have you considered going with something fancy, like a Lokar cable?

Or call a Chevy dealer and ask parts if they can get it(if not at least get the p/n).

I know they don’t produce the oem parking brake cables anymore.

I understand your dilemma. A friend had an '84 K10 a couple years ago, with an aftermarket throttle cable. That cable was absolute garbage.

They don't fit snuggly into the firewall like that original and the pedal is harder to push down.

Yeah, and it's doubly worse because you have to run a tighter spring so the cable doesn't hold the carb cracked open.

OEM P/N is 25515839 - real hard to source these days.

These vendors show 1 and 2 in stock (respectively):

Craig Motors -Napa Gm
NAPA, CA 94559
800-224-8111

Dan'S Obsolete Gm Parts
Chinook, MT 59523

406-357-2615

I wouldn't get your hopes up however - posted stock levels often don't exist.

Nice to see that page posted above by chengny!

Not that you need it here, and not easy to use, but I have looked up all kinds of OE part numbers for my 82 C10 at GMpartsWiki.com, and found a few by googling them. Actually bought one part from a Buick dealer on the east cost, and another from a Corvette parts company.

FYI, RockAuto.com shows ATP #Y267 and Pioneer #CA8500 for 86 K10 with 350. The GM number referenced is 25515839. I have found Pioneer products in general to be pretty good quality.

Interesting that the Ac Delco catalog shows the TV cable but not the accelerator cable. ???
