'87-'91 V1, 2, 3
'87-'91 1/2, 3/4, & 1 ton 4WD
Pickup, Blazer/Jimmy or Suburban
"Wavy" or "S" style cross member

'85-'86 is different and will NOT work

The part is for a '91 V2500

I've updated this post to reflect that it is the "Wavy" or "S" style cross member.
Not the "W" style.

That's what is commonly called the "wavy" or "S" style crossmember. It was used '87-'91.

Sorry I got a little confused here.
I wasn't familiar with the differences in the crossmembers.
So on my '91 Suburban, (see pictures) is it correct that I have the "W" or wavy crossmember? And this is also known as "S" style crossmember?

They are kind of confusing, lol. The "W" crossmember was used in '85-'86. The "W" crossmember looks like the passenger side of your crossmember, but on both sides. There's a thread around here about the crossmembers, I'll see if I can find it.

Transfer Case Crossmembers & Skid Plates

I picked up a transfer case skid plate that I thought would fit, and went through all the trouble of cracking the bolts, and bringing it home, scrubbing it down to get all the dirt off, and then find out it doesn't fit... It came from an 80s suburban. I guess there are different transmission...

Hey thanks for sending the pics.
I'm going to have to compare it and make sure we have the same crossmember here.
Do you know how much you want for just the skid plate and the bolts holding it on to the crossmember?
