Are they aluminum or steel? Will the paint come off?

Aluminum. Eagle alloys. Nice looking wheels even with paint but I only have 3.

My fingernail scratched it off but not sure what you could use to speed up the process.

The three is fine, I'll swap you wheels. I can have the tires taken off tomorrow if that works for you.

Great! Youre awesome! I'd rather you leave them on. Would you like the spare? The paint matches. Lol...

The third one is going to be a spare. I only need two, I want 12" wide for the rear.

Were do you want to meet, and when?

That's not a bad idea to let him drive, but do keep in mind, driving a C20 Long Bed vs a C10 Short Bed is going to be different. Still a bit similar, but those short beds tend to bounce alot IMO and beat the **** outta you. The comfort those give up just to have a grocery gitter instead of a truck is beyond me.

Maybe it's the somewhat different chassis but my stepside rides better than a longbed.

Probably hard to beat a 3/4 ton ride on street tires. It really does ride good, not near like a new one but much better than dads shortwide

I don't buy that ******** for a second homie. I've also ridden and drove shortbeds. Bouncy mo fos. It only makes sense though. Shorter wheels base and lighter weight isn't going to make a comfy ride. My C20 rides like a caddy and all it's got is some fair gas charged shocks. It doesn't even have a had a bad bounce going over a railroad tracks. My K1500 even rides smooth until I hit rough road then the front end is boucy which is expected being a leaf spring straight front axle.

Well, you can drive it when you come down. I drove a couple of GMT400 longbeds and they were harsh.

I had a 93 GMC 1500 SL long bed that rode pretty rough in the rear. Very similar to what I think a Square shortbed rides like. I think the reason the C20's ride good is that they have a 56in spring rather than a 52. That also makes a difference as well as the wheel base and the weight of the truck. Consider the weight of dual 20gallon tanks, heavier rear axle etc it all adds up to a more comfy ride.
