I need one of the trim pieces (38-2596) with the tangs on the back in good shape, one of the reinforcements (30-3550), and one of the strap covers (38-2087). @marks86

Yeah, I hear you. I'm about to just order a pair from LMC after I check fleaBay again.

If broken studs are the only issue, 3M tape can do the same job. IIRC, I used the 3/4 inch wide stuff (two layers) between the raised ridges. In the center basically. And of course wipe everything down well with alcohol.

On mine, the idiot PO broke the studs on one side, drilled it into place, and warped the trim piece where it's got wrinkles all in it. It looked tacky for too long so I just tore it out and figured I'd start fresh.

I looked all over for a replacement pair for my square when it was being rebuilt. I didn't have any luck with used. They all seem to break in the same way. Damn doors are actually built of steel, so it's no wonder the weak straps pull through. I ended up covering the strap with real aluminum and had it brushed to look like the aluminum decal that GM overlayed the plastic with.
