Need your help fellas.

86 k10 with 350. Not sure how many miles but runs.

No rust on truck, just small dents.

Not sure on the transmission. The seller said 350 turbo or 700r4.

Truck needs a headlight, wipers and tags. AC does not work. The heater works.

Clear title.

Seller wants $3500.

Is this a decent price for the truck?

Feedback is appreciated as I am a novice.

Any other info to take into account as I will be looking at it today if it does not sell.

In North Carolina that's about what that would sell for. Im sure others from your area will chime in with better info.

Always try to negotiate lower, unless he is firm at 3500.00. Then it is your decision to pay that.

You’re in a pretty dry climate so a truck without rust should be an insignificant trait and easy to come by. If I had to guess, I’d say it was a Scottsdale truck. If the wiring or the truck in general are not all hacked to hell, I’d offer 2750 and see where that takes you. Another important thing is worn steering parts including the Saginaw box, U joints, and suspension parts. The lift kit may have exacerbated the wear and tear. What looks like a sunroof, stickers, and things like that don’t bode well from what I’ve seen time and again. Look for nests of wiring or accessories that didn’t come with it (light bars, aftermarket stereo equipment, etc.). Anything that doesn’t look stock will stick out like a sore thumb, and those can mean problems if the installation work was done by a dipshit. Take inventory of what works and what doesn’t. You might want to enlist the help of an independent mechanic that has good reviews to evaluate. Overall, I’d be more concerned with electronics than mechanics because you have to be more savvy to fix electrical gremlins. Mechanical work is usually straightforward.

Here are some more pictures.

The rear differential is 10 bolt.

He said no rust but I see rust by the sunroof and on the hood.

The dash is a lost cause. I don’t know how much it would be to replace a dash.

See it once had aftermarket gauges. FLAG. Look under flooring to see metal floor. Mine came with hidden rust on both sides.

Try all positions of AC/heater ESPECIALLY defroster. Make sure air comes out defroster. I am still chasing that gremlin.

Check all positions of fan.

See afrermarket 1 DIN (not OEM) radio. Dash was modified for radio.

After looking for about a year for mine here in Texas. I found 3 to 5000 is about what a decent square goes for.
