Woodward Dream Cruise

August 17, 2019. This is the legendary Cruise that started it all. The first paved in concrete road in the USA was a one mile stretch between 6 and 7 mile on Woodward Avenue in 1909. There were hot rodder’s there in the late 30’s. After WWII the number of cruisers increased dramatically. Friday and Saturday nights were devoted to showing off what you had done to your ride during the week. In the 60’s the Big Three had engineers that tested prototypes for the muscle cars on Woodward. People come from around the world to drive their cars in the Cruise.

Has been on my bucket list for a few years, along with Ocean CIty cruise week in Maryland. One in OC has been under attack last few years trying to put a stop it. When you get a chance, check out zlumllord’s vids on YouTube. He has covered the cruise quite well thru the years. Pro street is very much alive and well there and he focuses on getting the best of the best that show up there.Woodard has plenty of vids also. OC is on the top of my list tho. Being able to take the truck to either would be a dream. Couple more years till planned retirement, so hopefully we can make it a reality.
