Wiring for oil pressure switch sending unit and coolant wiring help

I brought a truck with 454 swap I’m looking to buy new sending units and pressure switches for coolant and oil and hook everything back up factory so the cluster works I’m having hard time finding the wires I’m need to hook everything back up factory I have looked at the wiring harness pages and tried chaseing but little confused does any one have any pictures of the wires and the routing points?

What year truck? Earlier squares had mechanical oil gauges. Do you have gauges or idiot lights? You said temp sender, which is for a gauge, but then you said pressure switch, which is an on/off switch for idiot lights. Not trying to be a butt, but need these details to help you out.

1983 I understand just relaying to locate the wires to see what I have to order so I can get all my garages working correctly again since the swap previous owner did

The temp sender wire, #35 on the wiring diagram, should be a small, 18 or 20 AWG green wire routed from the sender, either towards the front of intake manifold or driver side head, along the valve cover to firewall and the bulkhead connector.

The oil pressure sender wire, #31 on the wiring diagram, should be a tan wire about the same size as the temp wire. The sender can be on the side of the block next to the oil filter or on the rear china wall near the firewall. It should go into the bulkhead connector, too.

There’s also this wire coming out of bulk head that’s cut can you tell what it is and what it’s supposed to go to?

I saw your post about it in the other thread and I agree with what @Jgonick said. It’s probably wire #350 that goes to the oil pressure switch.

If you have gauges, you have an oil pressure sender that goes to your oil pressure gauge via the #31 tan wire.

If you have idiot lights then you don’t have an oil pressure sender. You have the oil pressure switch that lights up your oil pressure light when you don’t have oil pressure. The #350 pnk/wht wire feeds power to the oil pressure switch. Wire #931 dark blue comes off the oil pressure switch and goes to your idiot light if you have one.

The oil pressure switch also has a second function, which is to power the electric choke. Wire #78 light blue from the pressure switch would send power to the choke only when there’s oil pressure, only when the engine is actually running. This way the choke wouldn’t be opening when you have the key on, but engine is off.
