You can still get original GM wiring diagrams on evilbay for a pretty reasonable price.

There are PDF files in the library

Just chucked up and bought a factory manual with the separate wire diags for my issues with mine. After looking through the ads I found a good deal on both from a seller on EBAY. Made copies of the wiring diagrams so I can mark up....buy factory manuals for most of my stuff - most times they know their stuff !

Hey guys, Im about install the cluster from CLASSIC INSTRUMENTS - I need to HACK my wire harness and tie it into the new cluster - I've been looking for a wire diagram. There are so many - and I'm not very good at reading those. Im trying.....But it's freaking hard. I don't have 'that' ability like other do.

Anyone know of a wire diagram that's straight forward? that tells me exactly which wire is which? something for DUMMIES...

I just received a colored, laminated wiring diagram for my 1981 from ClassicCarWiring.com, it is way cool.

Not sure what all I'm looking at, but I just picked up one of those for my 82 as well.

Whether its me trying to read it upside down or one of my more mechanically related friends, I figure it'll come in handy with a much stuff as my new to me POS needs done.

Looks nice though. I wasted more on less.

FYI, it is a misconception that wiring diagrams get easier to read with more experience. It might be different for people with the ability to memorize (photographic memory) the diagram after looking at it. For most normal/average people they are always difficult. I started reading schematics and wiring diagrams in middle school electronics classes. I still struggle to follow them and like the rest of you guys, I keep turning the diagram hoping it will make more sense, like someone reading a Thomas guide for the first time while driving.

The best advice I can share is what I keep repeating in my head as I work on wiring projects, concentrate on ONE wire at a time, to keep it from being overwhelming.
