Okay. The connecter should have 18 spaces in it, They are numbered 1-9 on one side then 10-18 on the other side. Can you just read the diagram and tell me what color wires and what they go to are for each terminal?
My connector I have now is:
1. Lt. Green = high beam
2. Black = ground
3. Tan = oil pressure sending unit
4. Pink/BLK Stripe = hot in run, bulb test and start
5. Purple = fuel sending unit
6. Empty
7. Empty
8. Dk. Green = coolant temp sender
9. Grey = illumination
OTHERSIDE
10. Lt. Blue/BLK Stripe = to DRAC module
11 Pink/BLK Stripe = hot in run, bulb test and start
12. Black/WHT Stripe = I think this is for the SES light
13. Tan/WHT Stripe = Brake light warning
14. Pink = This one, I am not sure?
15. Yellow = seat belt light
16. Dk. Blue = right turn signal
17. Lt. Blue = left turn signal
All terminals are brass terminals EXCEPT #18 it has bare aluminuim???
Okay.
Neener fuggin Neener, I got the GM 1986 for 10-30 Series CK Pick-UPs, G Vans and P model Wiring Diagrams in Tri Fold pages. Prolly what you need and I think will work for 84-86. Just a matter of scanning the section you need.
Here is what makes this such a bitch. Each page is a fold out of 5 pages long. Here's a sample of what each page looks like. And you see how small it is at that. Makes it tough to scan or copy to post here.
I also wish I knew for certain if the 84-86 harness is the same. I beleive they are. 84 was the transition year for the multifuncion switch and the dimmer switch moving to the column, but 87 was different due to TBI. It would make sense that 84-86 would be the same.
