Ok guys on my 82 c10 I am having problems with the windshield washer operation. I haven't used the washer in about a year cause my tank was cracked well I hooked the tank up and it will not pump all the lines are clear and the washer clicks so I know its getting power. Plus I even jumped it and it doesn't do anything just clicks. Are these a big problem or should I just go to a junkyard and find one out of a 89 burb since its in the tank?

I don't think they are literally in the tank, I think the pump is hidden behind the tank.

hmmm I just wonder why mine don't work cause it used to work fine. Is there a write up on how to take these apart or is it a PITA?

Can't be that bad. Don't be intimidated, pull the tank off the fender and take a look. Take it apart and see how it works.

aren't 82's up on the wiper motor... mine is on my 83. It is not a separate piece near the bottle like later years.

Looks like they went to the tank mounted pump in '85. I wasn't sure if he converted his or not since he said he was going to get one out of an '89 Burb. He needs to confirm if he has the tank mounted pump or motor mounted.

I got sick of putting junk reman wiper motors on my '84, so I got one for an '85 and remote mounted a GM pump I had laying around and I've been happy ever since.

They sell aftermarket pumps too, very affordable and easy to install.
