Hi,
This is what I think I know. My wiper motor has three wires to it; +12 volt on white wire, the gray wire is the ground when low speed is selected, and the purple wire is the ground when hi speed is selected. Low speed works fine although very slow. Hi speed does not work. I stripped some insulation off the purple wire and attached a jumper clip to it with the other side going to the negative side of the battery. Still doesn't work on Hi speed. So that would indicate a bad motor?
The title says it's a 1987 GMC but, it has a Chevy cab on it. It has the delay feature which doesn't work either. I'm not concerned with the delay not working. Thanks for your opinions.
