I just picked up a 75 GMC High Sierra that's been parked for the last ten years. Let the games begin.

Welcome. At least it was only ten years, lol. Seems like a lot of the older squares sit for longer than that before getting a second lease on life.

New plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil, air cleaner, a carb cleaning and adjustment, set timing, and she was running great. Only problem was it looked like a lawn sprinkler going off under it. I dropped the oil pan, pulled the oil pump and changed out the rear main. The new rear main and pan gasket didn't solve all the leaks, so I changed out the valve cover gaskets too. I power washed the motor and undercarriage, and have put about 500 miles on her. Running strong without a single drip.

Not bad. Got a lot of the maintenance done. Should be good to go for a while. Nice looking truck too. How's the rust? Any?

I'll replace both front quarters this winter, and the passenger door skin. Other than that it's solid as a rock. I already replaced the hood because the original looked like a taco. I also need a correct GMC 73-76 tailgate (LMC Truck). After that, I'll gut it and start inside. All the window rubber needs replaced, new windshield, and she'll be good as new...long term, I'll either rebuild and stroke this motor to a 383, or I may go with a crate motor and put this motor in something else.
