I just got an 81 C10 LWB. I’m redoing the suspension because the previous owner cheaped out on lowering it. I’m replacing the control arms with tubular control arms and I bought the Mcgaughys 4.5/6 kit. The kit comes with 2.5” spindles and a 1” coil spring. The truck has a 454 bb and Switch Suspension said go with a 1” coil spring for the engine size. I’m currently running 15” rallies w/ 275/60s. Switch Suspension said I’ll have to run a 27” tire with this setup. I’m ok with that because I need new tires anyway. My question is will the 15” rallies work with this setup? I’m new to the forum but I’ve read several posts where it will and where it won’t but none one them mention running tubular control arms. My other question is the tire size. I’ve been researching different sizes and was wondering if anybody has any suggestion. I’m having someone lower the truck for me. I’ll include a pic of the truck and a pic of the front suspension before he’s done anything to it.

You wheels will contact the spindle, which you may have seen in a coupe of the recent posts. You will need to remove a little material from each side
