Why can’t I post wheels for sale?

Ok, I just updated my avatar showing my new wheels and tires. I scrounged up a good set of OE wheels locally, cleaned them up painted them, bought trim rings and hub covers off of eBay. Mounted 31-10.5 x 15 Falken Wildbeast tires and replaced the brand new, yes brand new 35 year old, spare with a new tire.

Now I’m up to 43. I’m milking this thread for all I can get.

What size, make and model was the original spare? Did you save it?

There's wackadoos out there (such as myself) that like to save those things.

I did not keep it but it may still be retrievable. I’ll check in the morning.

You got me curious so I did some checking. The build date on the truck is 8/89, the date code on the tire is 299 which I think translates to 29th week of 1999 so they were not original to the truck but the tire appears to be brand new unused. The window sticker, which I do have, says the tires are 15XL ( extra load ??). So I have concluded that these are not the OE tires as I originally thought. Still 26 years old and not safe for driving.

Bucket, tires are not original as I thought, see follow up post above
