Which Roller Lifter??

The information on available roller lifters confuses the heck out of me!
I need roller lifters for a Gen1 350 880 roller block.
I see lots of lifters for LS motors, some LT motors and
all variety of year ranges.

Are there differences among the various roller lifters for small block Chevys??

I am now questioning if the LS1 roller lifters which I have purchased are going to work in my Gen 1 , 1993 880 block engine.

What are the differences among GM roller lifters?

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

If your block is not roller cam ready you will need retro rollers

My 880 block IS roller ready.

Question is, do LS1 lifters differ from LT1 lifters ?
The LS1 lifters fit fine, but are there differences I am missing??

I am betting there is a difference in oil circulation, and height that could cause problems. If it were me I would buy the one intended for a SBC roller cam engine as they possibly wouldnt require some rare hard to find expensive push rod. K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple stupid)

I have spoken with an engineer at a lifter manufacturer.
He assures me that they will work fine.
The oil hole is 90° to the location of the hole on an older engine, and that will cause no problem.
Dimensions are identical.

I did have one "technical" rep at a performance house tell me that the LS1 roller was
90° to the guide flats. That, of course, is false.
Maybe he should find a new profession??

I see many sites list roller lifters being for "87 and up."
Only difference I can find is that oil hole...........
