Hello all. Are there welds on all three places with arrows on a bed side? I got this pic from the internet, it's not mine. I'm just trying to decide whether or not to sand blast my bed together or in pieces so I can get in all the crevices. Thanks.

Someone on here knows but I don't believe it was supposed to be welded. They used a special bonding glue. I used to know what it's called but it basically comes out of a calking gun.

Sounds good, thanks for the reply. I was wondering if they were only spot welds or full beads. I still have the factory seam sealer or whatever it is so it's hard to tell. I'll have to blast it all off anyhow but it's good to know they're only spot welds.
My truck had 2 spot welds at each of the left most 2 arrows. There was no weld on the right/forward arrow area

I put a side on a 73 over 20 years ago and it had welds but I don't remember the weld details. I guess some may have come with some type of bond material, prob later models. Not sure.

No, they were all welded and then just had seam sealer over top

They're just spot welds, some have 2 in each location and some only had 1. But I've never seen a full bead (and doing R&D for AMD, I've looked at and taken apart a ton of these trucks lol). I ran a full bead on mine when I put the new floor in though

I just completed a bed rebuild.
Mine had two small welds on each post at the bed floor, and seam sealer.
I put it back the same way.
