Hey guys. I have a 1979 gmc c1500 and I was wanting to go with 20x12 -44 offset wheels, I have been told a 3” body lift will be a bad idea, could I fit those wheels with stock height?

I don't think they will fit too well without rubbing without a lift. Although the front end is entirely different an a 2wd and tires are more sucked in up front that on 4wd. I know that the corner of the body on a partial turn comes within a few inches of the body with a out a 2" lift on a 4wd

I don't think they will clear. A 10" rim *might* clear with a 33", but not a 12" rim.
