Wheel offset question

:help:Okay guys I need some input from someone with experience with after market wheels! I have a 1990 burb with a 6" lift and 35's now. I am looking to upgrade to 20x12 rims with 35" tires still. What is the proper offset on a rim that size? Thanks for the help!:happy160:

Im interested in this too. Tirerack has a lot of wheels that say they are agressive fitment due to offset. I dont want wheels that would "stick out" of the fenderwells...what is the stock offset or what offest should a person look for?

Well the factory wheels are 8" wide with the back spacing at 4". I'm just not sure what the max offset is that you can have on these trucks with a 35 x 12.5" tire. I don't really care if they stick out some, I just don't want them to rub when I turn.

I think a 12 inch wide rim would cause a rub no matter what, but backspacing around 5 inches I think would be ideal (never messed with the big rims, but it should clear?). If you have too much backspacing, you will rub the drag link on a right turn.

Look into fuel rims. They have a negative offset. I'm going 20x12s aswell just on smaller tires and way less lift. I know of a guy on a diff forum who runs these with this setup without rub.

I have yet to see a square with a set of fuels on it. Ive seen alot of gmt400s on up to the new trucks running them, but yet to see a square.

I find that anything with more back spacing will rub on the tie rod ends,, ive tryed stock rims with bad wide tires,, 14",, and they still rub the tie rod ends..

so? needed 3 inch back spacing to give that lil bit of room for tire flex........
