Alright guys, I am planning my build out. the truck i am leaning towards is a 1979 C20 long bed that is currently poop brown(eww), so the wife an I decided on the GM light Blue Metallic code 21. But we are having a hard time figuring out wheel colors.

I will be using GMT400 Chrome Caps, with 1/2-20 external thread lug nuts.

Color options:

Pacific Silver

Forged Charcoal

Low Gloss White

I am really leaning toward the Forged Charcoal. It looks really cool on a wheel, but what do you guys think?

And yes the C20 I am looking at is 5-lug swapped actually instead of it being 8-lug.

Stock looking steel wheels, I much prefer white painted or body colored with poverty caps.
I do too normally but these aren't exactly stock wheels nor look stock lol

Once I read GM Light Blue Metallic the color that popped into my head was white. Charcoal would look cool, and always does, but it's overdone. Go white and be different, at least a little.

With the light metallic blue body I would go for the white wheels. Or the silver as second best. Imagine the charcoal wheels with tires. it's a huge real dark area with too much contrast to the bright body.

I'm in the white contingent. Since my truck is light blue, and I've had the stock white steel wheels with the stock silver/black hubcaps and I've had silver aluminum rims on it. Both look good, but I have developed a particular affinity for the factory look.

White, and the silver/grey family both work with blue. Ultimately it's all personal preference, and you do your truck the way it works for you, but I think the brighter colors work better with the light colored truck.

Light blue with white wheels, just in case you're wondering what it looks like. I'm thinking of going chrome rims in the future.

This is the color I'm going with on my white 87 short bed. Illusion red. It's a little wild, but I think its gonna look sweet.
