If you take the center cap off your rims you can measure the center hole to be sure tho. He can always have then machined to fit!!!

Does anyone know the stock backspacing and offset for a 1991 Suburban V1500? From what I can find they look to be 4.5" backspacing and 0 mm offset but it seems everyone thinks its different then that. Anyone know. I'm about to go out and remove my spare and measure but it would be easier if someone knew. ????

I have stock Aluminum rims now with 33X10.5/15 tires and want to upgrade my front brakes and will need some room for bigger calipers so I moving to 17x8 or 17x9 rims and plan on a 33 or 34" tall 11.5 wide tire. The current 33x10.5 fit with no rubbing and lots of room now so If I can get replacement wheels with the same backspacing and offset I think they will fit with no issues. I go off road a bit but only dirt track and gravel.

The Suburban is a 1991 V1500 (1/2 ton 4x4) with no lift at all.

The 4-4.5 inch range is correct, but some of the narrower factory wheels might have been a little less backspace.

What's new brake setup going to be?

I found a guy on the CK5 forum who has successfully installed H3 4-piston fixed calipers and rotors on a GM 10 bolt front axle. The mounting flange on the hubs were cut down so the rotors clear without removing the hub in the future. He says the brakes are fantastic. I plan on doing the same to mine.

Ah ok, I'm familiar with that one. The fella doing the massive reconstructive surgery on his '71 or '72 K5 did that brake setup and his old mag wheels wouldn't work with it. I was happy to buy the old wheels, lol.

Offset is a redundant and useless measurement. It's a byproduct of the meaningful width and backspace measurements.

But usually it's zero or close to it. More backpace came about with the newer GMT400 style trucks.
