Ok, I have a question and I'm hoping we have some wheel/tire experts on here as I have a question about backspacing.

A good friend of mine has a 4x4 square body Suburban. The idea came about (while talking about me wanting to get different wheels for my 2007 Suburban) that he may want to put my stock 17" wheels off my 2007 and put them on his Burb. I have confirmed that the bolt patterns are the same between the two but does anyone know if the backspacing of the rim on my burb will make the deal an impossibility?

They will fit, might look funny tho the offset will make the rims sit in further.

That's kind of the reason for the backspacing question. Any ideas? I'm wondering if the difference will bring the wheel too far in and therefore look a little off but also cause rubbing

They shouldn't rub at all, but your buddy could get a set of wheel spaces to make them look right.

Would he need to get longer studs to account for the spacers and have enough thread for his lug nuts?

What about the wheel center openings, they will fit over a 4WD hub?

Well, my Burb is a 4x4 but not sure what it'd look like with a lockout hub like what is on the square body 4x4 burbs

The stock rims off your 07 Burb will not fit over the front lock out hubs on the older Chevys. Center hole is too small.
