What tires are these

Unfortunately I have seen many of these trucks that were lifted to the moon so that they would clear massive meats without gnawing into the sheet-metal. It is not surprising to see the front shaft missing due to the extreme angle on the double cardan joint.
The ride looks and sounds great but I'll have to agree that those 'lil 10 bolt Corporate axles will meet a cruel demise with any use/abuse/punishment that they're subjected to. I'd rather have the reliable D60F/14FFR and some creative fender trimming.

Don't forget the part about the idle turned way down to 500rpm to make it sound like the cam is way bigger than it actually is.

I thought the Armtrongs were called the TrueTrac, but I see yours are Norsemans.

I was buying Armstrong Tru Tracs back in 72-73.
1200/16.5's.
First real tires made for street that were also for off road use on civilian vehicles.
Great tires.
Hard to see them on one of the few pics saved from that era.
On the back of my 1969 3/4 ton Longhorn with factory 396.

Man! That's pure '70's Sportster with the high sissy bar and seat. Love it. I had a '48 pan head FL 74 but I always wanted a Sportster to. A guy I worked with had a one lunger Triumph, raked frame with a ten inch extended forks on it. It was dorky looking all standing out like that but back then everything was cool.
