I did a little searching yesterday and saw that Tractor Supply had the 20v XR ratchet cousin so I bought it to hang out with the 20v XR impact. Looking forward to trying them out. I wish the batteries weren't so expensive, but it is what it is and I'll get a spare at some point. For now, it's one battery for both tools.

Yep, they are decent spray guns for the money, but not worth the time involved to clean exceptionally well. Just use them a few times and pitch them, lol.

My advice to anyone buying an HVLP/HTE (gravity feed) spray gun is to spend a couple bucks and get a PPS style system. Harbor Freight sells their Spectrum line and is affordable to get into and is compatible with the PPS stuff (like the adapters).
I use Tamcos T-cups and spectrum stuff. Makes cleanup a breeze. Remove cup and liner, set it aside to dry, rinse gun with thinner/reducer/gun cleaner and wipe down and done. No messing with cleaning a hard cup.
I’ve got quite a few of those purple guns, for what they are they work well. Like with any paint gun, break them down and clean everything, and then clean it again. They always have some cosmoline type goop in them to keep them from rusting, which is a no go for paint.

I got a 3d printer to complement my cnc router and cnc plasma. Looking forward to making automotive parts. First project will be enclosures for the 3” and 1” speakers for the Jeeps 3-way components. I can’t find any that someone already makes.

Picked up a Makita 3/8 corded drill to add to the collection. It will replace the Skil I've had for decades (it's made in the USA so that should tell you it's pretty old.) Haven't used it yet, but I've already replaced the 8 foot- 18 awg cord the Makita came with by installing a 19 foot-16 awg cord. That will let me move around some before I have to go look for an extension cord.
Most guys will turn up their noses at corded tools, but I try to limit my financial exposure to batteries. I really like my Milwaukee M12 drill, it's my go-to choice, but I think of it as a short-term fling and not a long-term relationship. Long after all the current lithium tools are dead the corded stuff will still be ready to work.
The big drill on the lower left is a Millers Falls Dyno-Mite I got from my dad. It's 70-years-old and still works fine. Above that is a Milwaukee 1/2" hammer drill.
