What new tools have you got lately?

Thanks! I'm a deal hound and it amazes my wife constantly, lol. I almost never pay retail unless I need it right and now.

To be honest, the recent upgrades were only feasible through the use of sales, extra discounts, gift cards and leveraging my store credit at HF and Target. I'm hustling like everyone else, but when a deal presents itself you should capitalize on it if you can.

As I worked on the '84 and organized the garage yesterday, I had to stop for a minute and just appreciate how fortunate I have been these last few years. To live where I live, have the setup I have and be able to outfit myself for the future. I only have 18 months before the landlord takes back the property to start building their new house and razes everything. I plan to cherish it while it lasts, duplicating this setup will be virtually impossible without significantly increasing my earnings potential...

Home depot having close out of Klein Tools. So I went to see if I needed anything. Found a 5 bit mini ratchet and a REALLY nice 14 in 1 screwdriver, that extends, you can hit with a hammer to drive things, 13 bits and a removable shaft that adjusts SOLIDLY to three positions. 1/3 rd off, so $15 for screwdriver and $11 for mini ratchet. Both look really well built (Klein tools!)

Perry I'll tell ya, the free state of Idaho is on my radar! There is also South Carolina as an option. My family is considering going in on a 100+ acre tract together to have a compound where we can all coexist.

I went through that about a year ago, and after all was said and done it turned out to be the turn signal switch. On the bright side, the truck has all new bulbs, clean connections, etc

Funny you say that, my issue started after I replaced the dimmer switch in the column. I think it coincided with that repair but I didn’t catch the problem until a couple of months later because the Blazer has been sitting in the shop for a year with a list of projects going simultaneously.

I’m not afraid to throw another new dimmer and also turn signal switch at it for good measure.

After looking forever, I got a steal of a deal on this. Good friend helped me pick it up - its a beast. Great seller - even threw in a like new retractable reel and extra hose.....all made in the USA. Compressor is 20 yrs old - a little wax and clean up and its like new. Only thing it needs is a new site glass. Getting an after cooler for it - then ready to paint my truck. Totally psyched.

sorry but you spent about $110 too much. @nvrenuf

[edit] looks like it does a lot more than I'd first read. My apologies. I really like the 20' cable that comes with it. Great for testing fuel sender issues and long distance issues.

sorry but you spent about $110 too much. You could have gotten a multimeter from HF for about $6 and done the same thing.

youtube mulitmeter troubleshooting and there's plenty of video's. Yes most multimeters (bleep) when you have it on the OHM function.

But, I will say, if the directions tell you exactly how to test this that and the other, it's worth it.

Also a new compressor! Actually my 1st compressor as I don't have any air tools. Stanley Dst 100/8/6. Tiny (6 L), slow, but portable (15 kg!) and super quiet - Great for an in house garage

Did a master cylinder, didn't want to work the girlfriend too hard lol. So I got this.

Quite a few reviews saying it was junk. The seal is too hard, the hardware is junk, it leaks, blah blah blah. I think half of them are just stupid, this one is just barely big enough to cover the 80's plastic master, you have to very carefully clamp it down, I just used a c clamp instead of the cheesy chains.

Seal was just fine, and if there was any defects, summit woulda fixed me up no issues! Also people trying to put 10 plus psi through it!?!? 5-10 psi works just fine. Worked great!
