Thats awesome. Those are great guns. I have that exact same impact. I've had mine since November, and I've put it threw hell and its held up great so far.
Believe you were correct in your memory. Yes, Bauer so far has proved themselves as good tools to me as of now. Have a porta band and 7 inch grinder, both fine tools, so far. Use alot of grinders, found it more efficient to just get a 4 1/2 inch, or a 5" Makita grinder for each operation. Ie, light grinding, wire wheel, cut off wheel, polishing/flapper wheel so have several small grinders. My old Dewalt 4 and a half" grinder that I wire wheeled with quit the other day, went to Northern Tool in Amarillo and decided on a Milwalkee to replace it with 130 bucks, good grinder, get to looking at it the other day. Made in China! Be getting Bauer replacements as needed from here on. Hell believe the 2 Bauer products I have were made in Tawianne.
No Northern tool stores in my area. Thought about ordering from them online a time or two, but never did. Before we had Harbor Freight in the and for a little while after there was a store called Western Tool Supply. Western tool supply was geared mostly at wood working and building tools, so you wouldn't find automotive related stuff there at all. I bought a table saw from them about 25 years ago that I still use regularly. Like with Harbor Freight they had some good stuff and some not so good stuff.
The only Bauer product that I wasn't 100% satisfied with, was the 20v battery grinder. It does work, but its nothing compared to the reglauar plug in one. It does this weird thing where if you put more torque on something than it wants, it just shuts off. And that level isnt very high. Some sort of circuit break I guess.
Good tip. I do not have their coreless grinder and will keep it that way.
That's the color I plan to go with, I love the green. My coworker has the 44" box, I wish it would work for me but I need a little more box than that and I like that there's more variations of drawer depth on the 56".
I think my favorite factory lug wrench is the one that came with my Duramax, its a straight hex shaped bar with a lug socket on one end and it uses a crude ratchet to turn it.

Yes the wrench to drop the tire on my GMT800 works like a ratchet on the lug nuts too...
