Just got this last week, going to check out the 2nd tank on my sons truck to see what we need to do to get it working. Then stick it into one of the O2 sensor bungs on the Sploder to see whats up with the cat that keeps popping codes.

Finally broke down and bought the Packard strippers from American Autowire. $175 for 2 wire strippers is a lot, considering I've been getting by with $5 ones for years.

Pick this little feller up. Not a fan of plasma cutters, except for sheet metal. Building a flat bed, he wants under boxs, so I got sheet metal work to do.

Quick backstory on this Oil Pressure Switch socket that I picked up today at AutoZone. As some of you know, I've been working on an old Dodge Dakota off and on for the last several months. The oil pressure gauge hasn't worked since I got the truck and I just noticed this week that it was starting to dribble some oil out of the sensor. Had some time today so I decided to tackle it. Don't you just love those days when a 5 min job turns in to a 2 hour adventure?

AutoZone in town had the sensor in stock for $16.95. Super excited to actually find one, I run down to the store, grab it and head home. Now I've done a few oil pressure sensors over the years and I have always just used a socket out of a nice set of ultra deep Craftsman 1/2" drive sockets that I have. When I got home, I pulled the new sensor out of the box, try it against my sockets. 1 1/8" fits perfect. So I grab it and crawl under the truck and go to remove the old one. The sensor is located directly above the oil filter and behind the acc drive belt. Get my arm up through a small hole in the lower plastic shield that you access the filter through. Contort myself to get up in there and of course, the 1 1/8" is too big on the original sensor. Slide back out and get the 1". Repeat the contortion process and you guessed it.......too small.

Back in the truck I go to the parts store for the second time to buy a $10.99 socket that I'll probably never use again. It works great. But you would think at some point I would learn to buy the correct tool when I'm at the store the first time instead of making it an all day adventure....LOL

I usually use the ol c-clamp to push the caliper cylinder back in but I found this for 15 bucks

on Amazon. Comes with 2 different size plates to fit bigger calipers. I'll try it out on the rear brakes on my camaro. Can't beat the price.

I don't carry this one in the woods!! I use it on a Alaskan mill with a rip chain to slab wood that is too big for the bandsaw mill.
I also have an Alaskan mill. I use one of my 361's with it. You may be the only other person that I've talked to that actually has one.

I run the snot out of it. This pile of white oak is up to 41" wide. Takes big hp to get through it! !

it's a fun hobby! Wish we lived closer, we could hook up on sawmill days. We cook soup on a tripod and have plenty of beer when we finish.

Absolutely. That's the way to do it.

My brother-in-law only pull our Alaskan mill out once in a while for a specific job. I'm going to be doing a picnic table this winter as a project. I'll likely cut the top and benches out of one of our own trees using it.

I don't know if you would call this a tool, but it upgrades a tool. I saw these on You Tube, watched the video, and went to the site and looked at them. I didn't buy it than. A few days later I get a email with 40% off. So I got two of them for 23.00 and 5.00 shipping. These work very well...I was amazed. Just not built for tight spaces.

A few companies actually make similar products. The one I bought recently was Flexzilla brand.
