What new tools have you got lately?

Bet you are suprised with them. Been using them for years. "Real" painters tend to cuss them, but they spray paint evenly and personally I dont know what else a paint gun can do. Yes, easy cheap clean up, and with a little care they last a long time.

If it spits paint out the front and not down my arm I will probably be impressed

I am not a real painter either and probably wouldn't even start to paint something I had to buy an automotive grade paint for. That stuff is way to expensive for my skill level. These will be to prevent rust on farm equipment or metal junk I build around here.

Does anyone make a dent puller (rod with heavy weight on a shaft) that has a bend like a c-clamp on it? I dented the rear of the new bedside trying to force it down further on the bed. This tool would go into the square hole on top back where the tail lights are. Thats what I get for putting styrofoam down and smacking it with a 10 lb hammer.

Yep, they sure do. I bought one a while back, probably posted it here too. I think it was about a year ago.

Yesterday, at the local ranch/farm store, in the welding department.
Looking at cut off wheels for the right angle grinder and came across this diamond edged blade. Suppose to last 30 times longer. Less smoke and sparklers too, I guess. Aint tried it yet.

I like this better than the ones you had to drill a hole in the dent then screw it in to pull it.

I tried one. It was just "eh". Didn't seem like it worked any better, it got a bit dull after a few "normal wheel's" worth of cuts and it transfered a lot of heat to the grinder on long cuts. If you are just cutting thin wall stuff, you may like it.

Thinking about getting a set of self centering drill bits to use for an oh $h|t moment with a broken bolt deep in a hole. Came across it on youtube while looking up something else. Video below....

Tools I made for the differential on my square.
The long one bolts directly on to the yoke and has a provision for the socket to go directly on the pinion nut.
The smaller also bolts directly on the yoke, and is for removing the yoke itself.

I couldn't afford the ones I really wanted, so I did what I always do.

Went to HF to get some gloves, and a few other things. Saw these extension handle ratchets, not sure if they will flex bad or not but thought I'd get them. The one is just a 1/2 inch drive, and the other is a 3/8-1/4 inch drive. Finally got a 3/8 drive Cordless impact. Lowes had it on sale came with two batteries, charger, and a bag...129.

$129 is a good deal on the Dewalt. 2 battery's alone would run nearly that much.

Picked up this Lincoln weldpak 100, about an hour away and was $125!!

I said I'll take it and went and got it. it's a 110 unit as I don't have 220 out in the garage. Guy has had it flux core the whole time, flux core has its place so I'll save the wire and pieces for the flux setup. Seems to be in pretty good shape. I did fire it up and it works pretty good.

But I found a mig conversion kit, with everything even the wire, for just under $200. So for 300 some dollars minus the tank I'll have a decent welding setup. The first project will be the welder cart, then I have a list of stuff to weld and build.

I guess this can be considered a tool. One of my buddies just sold his house, and he and his wife bought a Condo. He no longer needed his riding lawn mower. He bought it a couple of years ago brand new. Called me the other day and asked if I knew anyone that would like to buy it. I said how much? I told him I'd be interested in it. 1200.00 I said I'll be to your house in a few minutes....
