What is this wire???

Anybody know this wire? Its loomed off the passenger side of the truck purple sorta bigger wire and a small black wire coming out the other end? My truck is an 1986 k10

Should be for the heater/AC fan relay switch and a ground

Pete does that single black wire go to a ground? its weird its a purple wire then black coming out.

On my truck & the wiring diagram I have....... Purple is the blower motor feed and the black is a ground. It should ground on the firewall in that area.
