What is this plug for

Can anybody tell me what this plugins for. It is right behind the radio. In a 1990 crew cab. R3500

You might want to provide the number (and colors) of the wires coming into the connector. Also trace the wires back as far as you can and see if you can determine what/where they go to.

Another thing that might help would be a list of any electrical components that are not currently functional.

Looks like the power/ground/dash light connector for a first generation GM 1.5 DIN radio.

Everything seems to be working. Without the plug. At least it was till the radio randomly quit.

All the 1991 squarebody radio connectors I've seen look like this.

Looks almost like an older headlight/key buzzer connector but I know they were using the standard GM chime module by then.

I'll have a look through the wiring diagrams in a while, see what I can find.

That's the ones that the radio in it now uses.
