Howdy,

My truck is a '77 C10 Scottsdale sbc400.

What is the 4 wire harness on the right?
When I got the truck the harness was plugged in but the end was cut off so there's just 4 wires hanging there. I don't know what it's called or what it was supposed to connect to.

Thank you for any help!

That’s the taillight harness.

There should be a light green (reverse lights) brown (taillight feed) green (left turn/brake) yellow (right turn/brake) and a pink (fuel gauge sending unit)

What works and doesn’t work?

Find the taillight harness, it’s clipped to the frame rail. I bet you find the rest of the wires.

Napa has the proper series 56 terminals. Once you unplug the firewall bulkhead electrical connector it should be pretty easy to splice everything back together. Then you can start on whatever else the previous owner hacked up.

Thank you!

When I got the truck it didn't run. I trailered it home and that harness was cut off and the end just flopping around in the engine compartment.
