Got the A/C junk out of the way. Started mock-up for the firewall, and fitting the fender covers...

Think I waited too long to get the ball joints changed. Glad to be alive lol. EDIT the passenger side is the only ball joints changed. I'm going to have them check them on the drivers side

Got the transmission out completely. Side by side pic. The guy that's gonna build the 400 won't get to it for a couple weeks. Should give me enough time to get everything cleaned up underneath and ready.

Washed the hood to add some glazing putty to fill all the imperfections. Next, final sand, primer, tape stripes and shoot probably next week or later. Bug’s flying in the evening so I will have to wait until it’s warm enough in the morning to paint outside before the bugs wake up.

Looks like driveshaft will need to be lengthened? Or is it just the pic? Nice upgrade!

Thanks! and yes it's gonna need to be around 3 inches longer. The one in it was really an inch too short from swapping in the 9 inch and too small diameter for the length. The calculators I've used online are saying I need 3.5" diameter to be safe.

Gutted the Mistress today. Tried not to rip and tear the wiring out. Then it became a moot point after I saw how bad the rats or mice chewed on the under dash harness. Still tried not to screw up the connectors. Looks like a wiring harness is in the future. Removed the E brake assembly just going to clean it up and paint it. Most of the interior trim is in good condition. How ever did break the trim piece that runs along side of the dash by the door. Have to find a couple of those.

Took it out for a cruise and got a fresh tank of ethanol free. After that, got into figuring out why my voltmeter goes in and out. I’m putting it down to cheap printed circuit clips by LMC. Wasn’t making good contact. So I tried to adjust/bend one and it snapped in half. Have some on order and will be delivered by Summit tomorrow- one of my local buddies is going to give me a few spares as well from an old cluster soon so I can compare quality. I’m guessing that 40 year old clips are probably better than a new batch.
