Yes they unscrew. The wire will twist up but it's usually ok.

She is driving way better after the new spark plugs! The old ones were zombie sparks and barely getting by.

How long/miles between changes?
I don't know. I have had the truck for a year and a few months. Previous owner kept all receipts but I have no idea when the plugs were changed out last. If it happened at the garage he went to I could find it if I looked but they needed to go. It has driven great until early January and it started stuttering at 35-45 and then again at 50-55 but would level out when at constant rate of speed. But last weekend I drove the truck on a short trip and it was not getting the gas like normal. It even felt like it might shut off on me while I waited on a guy in front of me to make a left at a stop sign. I drove home and started getting ready to swap the plugs that day.

yesterday while installing the 3 bolts on the torque converter, I busted a 3/8's swivel with only a 50# setting on the ratchet. I did have an 18" extension between swivel and ratchet. Dunno...never busted a swivel before by hand. Checked torque wrench on frame bolts and 50# felt right.

Anyway, ditched everything and used a deep well and it did well. Guessing swivel may have got hung up on the block. Weird.

Replaced the header gaskets last night. Hoped the headers would just kinda "float" since I don't have flex joints in the exhaust anymore and they did!

Unfortunately, the o2 sensor I ordered was wrong. Wires were in the right places, I'd hoped it was just the sniffer that was different. But the little "island" in the plug is on the wrong side to let the plug seat. So I stuck the old one back in. Truck ran great, but the CEL came back on right at about 100mi :Boo: Gotta pull the old o2 back out and order the correct one.

Out with the old and in with the new electric washer fluid pump. Going to cut some new hose so it wraps better but happy they work!

Pulled the old o2 sensor back out to get the number off of it, thankfully the parts store had one in stock! Went and got it on my lunch break, just put it in. I'll take her for a good long ride later to get the o2 good and hot, then recheck the header bolts. Hopefully that's the last of that problem
